Hi, I'm Nicolas Patel.

Video editor based in Southern California with a BA in Cinema from San Francisco State University. I've been editing since high school — starting with a bi-weekly broadcast show, through college productions, professional internships, and now full post-production for creators, brands, and indie game studios.

My work spans short-form social content, narrative short films, and branded video — with production credits on The Chosen (Season 2) and Big Life Movie. Currently the ongoing editor for Optillusion Games across two simultaneous game campaigns.

My Approach

How I Work

A few things that define how I approach every project.

Pacing First

Whether it's a 20-second Reel or a 10-minute YouTube video, the edit lives or dies by its rhythm. I build pacing around the content, not a template.

🤝
Easy to Work With

Clear communication, organized file delivery, and feedback that actually gets implemented. No chasing, no guessing.

📈
Always Improving

I study what performs, what doesn't, and why. Every project is a chance to get sharper — not just deliver and move on.
